CHARGE! is a laser-tag inspired sport in the future. Athletes are split into teams of three and deployed into a fantastic sci-fi arena to be let loose.

Mission
Develop a futuristic themed 3v3 multiplayer FPS that blends old-school arena mechanics with modern sensibilities of fun. A fresh take on weapon functionality and game mode approaches, focusing on the multiplayer experience.

Greetings community,

We know it has been a while since you heard from us on the progress of Charge! We have been hard at work behind the scenes in making sure the product is as best it can be, as well as representative of our current direction.

There have been several iterations of design that we have been going through, and we’re finally settled on a core design that we are satisfied with.

Since our last update, we have overhauled the art direction, as well as the core game loop. We did this, to present both a novel, yet familiar experience, looking to capitalize on our unique mechanics.

Now that we have settled on core design pillars for delivering our brand of fun, and have been refining the gameplay built upon them, we would like to share our progress.

Overall, Charge! is a futuristic FPS themed around laser tag environments and feel, low-stakes multiplayer fun, and balancing experimental weapon abilities and game mode approaches with fun and sometimes forgotten inspirations from older shooters.
